Kristin Jewell

Kristin graduated magna cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross with a BA in Classics. She earned her MA and PhD in Classical Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, where she focused her research on Euripidean tragedy. As a teaching fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, she taught Latin courses as well as a freshman writing seminar based on classical and modern rhetoric. Before arriving at BUA, Kristin also taught in the Classics department at Dickinson College, and was a member of both the English and Foreign Language departments at the Loomis Chaffee School. Since joining BUA in 2003, Kristin has taught Latin and ancient Greek; she also advises the BUA yearbook. Outside the classroom, Kristin enjoys singing with Chorus North Shore, knitting (slowly), skiing, and adding more books to her “to read” list on Goodreads.
