Olive’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History from Harvard College, and a Master’s Degree in History from Simmons College.  Her Master’s thesis was on the later writings of the political philosopher Hannah Arendt.  Olive has taught English at BUA as well as served as the Academy’s Writing Center Advisor.  She has previously studied Homeric Greek, and has taught at Fontbonne Academy in Milton.  Olive is also proud to be the mother of a BUA graduate; her daughter Katy graduated from BUA in 2015.  Olive coordinates BUA’s international trips and is available to BUA students for additional help in the Writing Center.  Outside of school, she has fun baking (well) and playing the violin (not well).
