Olive Brown’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in History from Harvard College, and a Master’s Degree in History from Simmons College. Her Master’s thesis was on the later writings of the political philosopher Hannah Arendt. Mrs. Brown has taught English at BUA as well as served as the school’s Writing Center Advisor. She has previously studied Homeric Greek, and has taught at Fontbonne Academy in Milton. Mrs. Brown is proud to be the mother of two BUA graduates; her daughter Katy graduated from BUA in 2015, and her son William graduated in 2020. Mrs. Brown also coordinates BUA’s international trips. Outside of school, she has fun baking (well) and playing the violin (not well).
