Pat Larash

Pat received her AB in Classics from Harvard University and her PhD in Classical Philology from the University of California, Berkeley. She has taught for six years in the Classics Department of Boston University, and, more recently, has spent five years teaching Rhetoric in BU’s College of General Studies. Her research interests include Latin poetry, with a focus on Martial’s epigrams and the literature of the Flavian period, and her teaching interests include classical languages and literature, writing and composition, linguistics, and the ancient world. Outside of the classroom, Pat enjoys reading (and writing drafts of) science fiction, fantasy, mysteries, and poetry; traveling abroad; music; meditation; and good food and good conversation.
