Video Game Design Camp

Love playing video games? Here’s a chance to make your own! Middle schoolers are invited to join BU Computer Science Professor Abbas Attarwala and high-school student mentors from Boston University Academy for a one-week hands-on summer course in video game design.

The program is tailor made for middle school students. No prior coding experience is necessary. Students will learn the basics of game design and bring their visions to life through programming languages like Scratch and Alice, and then begin exploring more advanced languages, like Python. They will also get a chance to hear from professionals in the video game design industry about what a career in the field is really like.
