Boston University Academy’s Community Service Program emphasizes civic responsibility, encourages lifelong civic engagement, and inspires personal growth. Through public service, BUA students develop as leaders who have a deeper understanding of themselves and a broader awareness of their communities.
All BUA students are required to complete 20 hours of service for each year that they are enrolled. BUA’s Community Service Club plans monthly volunteer outings to various charitable organizations in and around Boston. We recommend that students use the Teen Life search box to find a list of local agencies that welcome teen volunteers.
Boston University Academy’s first annual school-wide Day of Service, in which all students and faculty spend a day volunteering at charitable organizations in and around Boston, took place in May of 2018.
