The Mix It Up series invites students to meet BU professors and professionals for a casual chat over lunch.

Join us for a conversation Generative AI in Writing with Dr. Pary Fassihi P’29!

This lunch conversation looks at how students in college courses are working with Generative AI (GenAI) while still developing their own ideas, arguments, and understanding. We’ll focus on practical ways to avoid over-reliance and maintain ownership of student learning, and discuss students’ current use of GenAI.

Dr. Fassihi is a BUA parent and a senior lecturer in the BU College of Arts & Sciences writing program, where her recent research focuses on the role of generative AI in writing. Dr. Fassihi currently serves on the Provost’s AI Task Force at BU.

Lunch will be catered from Life Alive for the first ten students to sign up on Friday, January 16, from 11:10-11:45 a.m. in Room 204.
