Anthony Vitali

History Teacher

Anthony Vitali joins BUA’s history department in a yearlong teaching appointment. Previously, Mr. Vitali taught at Judge Memorial School in Utah and Damien Memorial School in Hawai’i. He earned his BA in history at The University of Portland. His undergraduate thesis, “A Picket Line of Facts and Figures: Conservative Activism in Post-War Portland,” researched the efficacy of varied activist strategies in Oregon from 1940-1980. Upon graduation, he was awarded the James T. Covert Leadership in History award for his research and dedication to the subject. Mr. Vitali completed his MA through The University of Portland’s PACE Program. Outside of the classroom, Mr. Vitali is a vegan triathlete. He enjoys diving into local music scenes and has two pet huskies, Zella and Hampton.
